OFFICE OF THE WET’SUWET’EN POSITION ON PACIFIC TRAILS PIPELINE

The PTP Communication & Engagement agreement is not approving the PTP project. The Hereditary Chiefs and the Office of the Wet’suwet’en (OW) was the only First Nation along the route that opposed this project out of 17 First Nations, and remains so. The fact that the Wet’suwet’en are the only First Nation opposed proves our dedication to responsible resource management.

This Communications Protocol Agreement allows the Parties to discuss outstanding issues regarding the BC EAO Certificate that PTP received in 2008. OW extends an open invitation to the membership to clarify the Wet’suwet’en position on this project.

OW remains open and transparent to its membership as to where we are with these large proposed projects. We look forward to the opportunity, and to stop further mis-information. Contact OW at 250-847-3630
