Laksilyu Territorial Stewardship Clan Meeting

Laksilyu members from Ginehklaiyex, Kwen Bea Yex, and Tselalbaiyex are invited to attend an introductory session of a three part series of seminars is designed to strengthen traditional decision making by increasing members’ understanding of Crown encumbrances over House territories, determining what is acceptable development for each House territory, and taking the Wet’suwet’en Territorial Stewardship Plan to the next step by identifying  priorities in Natural Resource Management.

The 1st- Introductory session will look at What have we got left???.   Natural Resource staff will provide an overview of known cultural heritage values, traditional use areas, natural resources uses by third parties and Crown tenures over clan house territories.

Location:  Centennial Hall – Moricetown

Lunch will be provided

The afternoon will involve house members discussing priorities for preservation, protection, and acceptable development.
